Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect only what the app needs to keep your household’s medicine log in sync. We do not show ads, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
GivenBy (“we”, “us”) is operated by Galuh Pradipta. This policy covers the GivenBy website and the GivenBy iPhone app. Contact us at hello@givenby.app.
What we collect on the website
- Waitlist email. The email address you enter, so we can tell you when the app launches.
- Optional answers. The type of medicine your pet takes, if you choose one.
- Beta interest. Whether you asked for an invite to test the beta version of the app.
- Referral source. The link tag that brought you to the site, for example a forum name, so we know which posts help.
- Approximate country. Derived from your network connection. We do not store your IP address with your signup.
What we collect in the app
- Pet and care records you enter: pet profiles and photos, medicines and schedules, doses given, meal checks, glucose readings, weight, and notes.
- Household information: the display names of household members, which member logged each dose, and the invite code for your household.
- Device identifiers: a random device token for sync, and a push notification token when you allow notifications.
- Purchase status: whether your household has an active subscription or lifetime purchase. Apple processes payments. We never see your card details.
- Diagnostics and usage: crash reports and anonymous usage events, such as “dose logged” or “paywall shown”. You can turn usage analytics off in the app settings.
The app does not use your location, contacts, or advertising identifier, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
How we use your data
- To sync your household’s log between phones and to warn you about possible double doses.
- To send the reminders and alerts that you turn on.
- To create the reports and insights that you ask for.
- To check your subscription, fix crashes, and improve the app.
- To send the launch email to people on the waitlist.
- To send one beta test invite (an Apple TestFlight link) before launch, only to people who asked for it.
Where your data is stored, and who processes it
Your records are stored on your phone and in our sync database. We use these service providers, which process data only on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, the waitlist, and the household sync database.
- Apple: App Store purchases, push notifications, and optional iCloud device backups.
- RevenueCat: subscription status.
- Sentry: crash reports.
- PostHog: anonymous usage analytics.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep household records while your household uses the app. When the last member deletes their data, we delete the household’s records from our sync database within 30 days. We keep waitlist emails until the launch email is sent and for 12 months after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices and rights
- Delete in the app: Household settings › Delete My Data removes your device and, for the last member, all household records.
- Export: you can export your records as a CSV file at any time, with or without a subscription.
- Ask us: email us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to leave the waitlist.
If you live in the EU, the UK, or a US state with privacy laws, you have the rights those laws give you, including access, correction, deletion, and objection. We process app data to provide the service you asked for, and usage analytics based on your consent, which you can withdraw in the app settings.
Children
GivenBy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
